Certified Nursing Assistant Training
The Minot Adult Learning Center is now offering their GED and EL students the opportunity to become a CNA. This is a fantastic opportunity to graduate with a credential in hand, ready to start the next chapter of your career!
The next CNA course will begin in March.
The CNA course offered by the Adult Learning Center is part of an Integrated Education Training program. This means that students must actively attend GED or EL classes in order to qualify for the CNA course. Generally, CNA class is held all day on Fridays. Please check back soon for the finalized schedule for next session.
What does a CNA do?
A certified nursing assistant helps patients with direct health care needs, often under the supervision of a nurse. CNAs work directly with patients and nurses, helping with the complex tasks for patient care. Certified nursing assistants help perform critical tasks that ensure patients are well-cared for and safe. Checking vital signs, keeping patients clean, and other duties like this are extremely important for patient care and satisfaction.
